Things are moving along, with construction slated to start on the first of June running through the first of October of this year. The city recently awarded Otto Construction the contract that is set to remove the red tag items and re-open the theater in time for the 2016 Season and the Centennial Celebrations of Carmel. Otto, a Sacramento headquartered contractor that maintains a branch office on Garden Road in Monterey, is no stranger to the Peninsula. Currently constructing the new VA Building that you will notice when driving north on Hwy 1 near the Dunes Shopping Center, you may have also seen examples of Ottos work at Community Hospital…everything from the parking garage and Cancer Center which began construction in 1997 to the beautiful Forest Pavilion.
